"OK here a tip from those of us who mount scopes for a living on the heaviest recoiling firearms,,

1. Never locktite ring screws, ever.
2. Alwys loctite base screws, always.
3. Dont use tape or paper or anyhting else in the rings. Instead, go to home depot, buy that liquid rubber electrical tape stuff, the kind ya dip pliaer handles in, paint that on the rings and mount your scope. Let the excess run out and peel it off with a toothpick.
"

Fiendishly simple... isn't it M. Jackson? There are more tricks out there that you should learn(just in case), so that you don't comeback saying something like - "OMFG! The rings this guy sold me cracked the lens in my $1000 scope!!!"...lol.

These rings are great way to mount a dot sight on top of your scope...great idea by the way.
