(More customer reviews)I own this pistol. I am a certified firearms instructor for the last 28 years. Here is my review.
The biggest issue with this pistol is that it does not work. You 'load' the pistol by putting 8 BBs or 8 pellets into a round, plastic 'clip'. The you push a button to release the slide from battery and then drop the clip into the chamber, pull back the slide and you should be able to fire the pistol.
The issue: You drop the circular clip into the chamber. It does not align with the barrel!. You have to shake the pistol and hope that it aligns before you return the slide to battery. In shaking the pistol BBs and pellets fall out of the clip into the chamber! If it actually aligns on the first 'drop' the 'clip' my experience is that only 2 or 3 of the 8 BBs/pellets actually leave the clip and fire through the barrel. All BBs were supplied by Crosman as part of the package.
I have contacted Crosman to return the pistol and have requested a full refund including sales tax and my shipping charges. (You cannot return the pistol to Amazon or other retailer for a refund. You have to deal with Crosman).

(More customer reviews)I love it! Everything Crosman's adds and other reviewers say about it is true. Crosman pellets seem to be easier to load than generics but both shoot equally well. It's acuracy exceeds my abilities. Only complaint I have is that it did not come with a manual, just a little one page copy of how to install the Williams sights. I had to go on Crosman's web site and print one off - pdf files suck. For as much as it costs I would expect a professional user manual. No registration sheets - no nothin...

Crosman Stinger P30 airsoft gun Review

(More customer reviews)First, let me say that some of the reviews above do not apply to this gun.One says you must keep buying batteries.This gun takes NO batteries, gas or CO2.It is fired only by kinetic energy provided by the firer.

Now the three strong points of this gun:

A. Cheap
If you are just getting into airsoft, I would recommend you go to Wal-Mart and buy this gun.It really gives you a feel for the sport and is only about $15.

B. Reliable
The package of the gun says that it has 230 fps muzzle velocity.I have a shotgun-type spring rifle that was advertized at 250 fps and does not shoot nearly as far or as accurately as the P30, and it was $5 more.This gun's range is also very reliable - it never varies very much.

C. Sturdy
My brother and I have two P30s, and they are both in full working condition.They have been disassembled and repaired several times, but they still work just like the day we bought them.

A few weak points and caveats:

One of the p30s we own cannot be used anymore because the screw came out of the bottom of the clip during a game, and we found all the pieces except the spring.So, that clip is a write-off and, with it, the gun since you can't buy replacement clips.

Every time you insert a fully loaded clip into the gun and cock it, make sure that the tab has not been locked down by the cocking action by pressing the clip release and making sure the clip will come out.If it won't, shake the gun until it does, then reinsert it.

This gun has a tendancy to jam at awkward times.It only seems to happen if you're firing very quickly.If the gun stops emmiting a projectile without making an empty noise or is harder to cock, REMOVE THE CLIP and fire the gun until all the BBs are out of the firing chamber.Occasionally a BB will get inside the slide.It doesn't usually affect performance, and, if you want to get it out, don't unscrew the slide because it's very tricky to get back on.

(More customer reviews)Don't get me wrong, I like the gun.Looks like my .357 magnum I used to have, but this one feels alot lighter (most part Plastic.)Accuracy wise, I can't get much better grouping than 3 1/2 " at 25',indoor, single action free hand.It got worst at double action, because the trigger pull seem to be a little longer.I get around 70 consistent (velocity) shots, then it drops off.Easy break barrel loading though the barrel lock looks fragile.You have to take off both sides of the handle to load the co2, this is due to the co2 holder screw being inside the handle, not sticking out.It comes with 2 speedloader.
