It had surface dust on the scope and the box was worn and opened. But all that was not the primary issue ... the eye lens had a 1-2mm diameter piece of coating missing nearat the center of the optic (very sad) and there was dust inside the scope seen through the eye ocular. Although the scope was very disappointing (returned) I found Amazon to be awesome by paying for return shipping with a fast refund. So I do not hold Amazon accountable for this ... I do hold the compant that supplied Amazon with this inferior product condition.

The scope offers such features as a rugged one-piece, 1-inch main body tube; a creative Eyebox design with a huge ocular that provides a 4x magnification range and 4 inches of constant eye relief without sacrificing the field of view; an ultra ClearCoat system for 95 percent light transmission; and fully multicoated, super-high-performance lenses. After the lenses are cut and polished, Nikon coats them with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds. The compounds serve to boost light transmission, improve contrast (to pull game out of its surroundings), deliver true color rendition and flare-free viewing, and enhance the overall image quality. PROS:

Swivels left and right easily only when gun is resting on it
Attaches to a weaver/picatinny rail or sling swivel
Comes with a sling swivel stud attachment
Spring-loaded legs for uneven terrain
All metal construction

CONS:

Too short for rifles with large capacity magazines

SUMMARY: Great bipod, but not able to be used with rifles that have high capacity magazines (AK's, AR's, Mini-14). For instance, it will not work with an AR-15 or AK-47, due to the magazine length, but would work with hunting rifles, long range pistols or, if you're weird, a shotgun. As for durability, it's indestructable. I think it is worth the money, given that it's so inexpensive.

The noise the pellets make at supersonic speed puts a grin on your face and the penatration at 30-50yards is unreal. I aint had a good chance to use it yet but so far so good. I would def recommend this gun even at double the cost i paid.

(More customer reviews)Initially, this scope feels heavy, like maybe it's of some quality.I mounted this scope on my AR-15, and while looking around my yard with it, it seems good enough -let's face it, it's inexpensive so how good does it have to be?

I took it out on it's maiden hunting trip, hunting for small game in an open valley.I immediately realized that the optics on this scope were junk, there was a blur, or some sort of warp in the lense that wouldn't go away no matter how much tweaking or adjusting.It was like aiming the thing through a glass of water and then down-range.Also, the "spiffy illuminated reticle" has HUGE crosshairs.Aiming at a rabbit or a gopher at any distance is a joke because the massive, thick crosshairs end up covering what your aiming at.Sure they light up just fine, different levels too, but they're just too thick to be usefull.

Overall, the scope is heavy, the reticle lights well, but I doubt any sniper would use it with any attempt at seriousness or accuracy, the caps are a joke and will snap off in a stout breeze, the adjustment knobs are awefull -they feel like they're grinding when turned, not smooth at all, and the lenses are aweful.

So, to recap: 3x9 scope, lighted reticle, complete with covers etc. all for under $100!!!Yep, you get what you pay for, this baby ultimately wouldn't seem out of place rolling out of a kid's meal at Burger King, and has no real place on a rifle for any serious shooting.In fact, I found it easier to pull the thing off of my AR, and use the iron sights even for long range shooting, far more accurate too.

As for my scope, well, it took about 3 rounds at a hundred yards bafore I couldn't find it to shoot again.IT'S AMAZING, the body of this thing is like a boat anchor, all the parts blow off it, and the bullets pass through, but the rubber coating and heavy guage metal keep it from entirely blowing apart, in essence, it's a perfect target to shoot at.How ironic.

Do yourself a favor, pass this one up, spend more and get a scope that you'll acually be able to use effectively for some time.This little "bargain" isn't what it sounds, thanks China!
