(More customer reviews)The Marlin Model 60 is arguably the most popular and prolific 22 rifle ever made. The fantastic Ruger 10/22 gets a lot of attention, but the low-cost Model 60 was the first 22 rifle for many shooters. The 1960's tubular feed magazine is easy to use, but it gives the Marlin 60 a very old-fashion rifle appearance. If you're looking to make your aging Model 60 look like a tactical rifle then the Muzzelite Bullpup stock is a decent option.

Simply remove the Marlin's trigger, action and barrel from the original stock and drop them into the Muzzelite. It's really that simple! There are only a few little issues that keep this stock from getting five stars in my review:

1) Several of the stock seams don't seal properly because there aren't enough screws/bolts holding the two halves of the stock together as if they are one piece.

2) There are no front weaver rails (although a handle-mounted top rail is included).

3) The new trigger might require some work/break-in time depending on how well your particular stock was machined.

The only other option for a tactical-style stock for the Marlin 60 is the ATI Fibreforce (Dragunov-style) stock ... but I personally like the bullpup look more.

(More customer reviews)This kit will give your weapon a VERY cheap toy-like quality to it. Its unbelievable that a company would consider this an acceptable mod for a real firearm. Even the rails are plastic! Go with the Krinker Plinker mod instead. It's more money but at least it's metal! This thing is total crap and a HUGE waste of money.

(More customer reviews)The 10/22 reciever fits into the tapco stock with no vertical or horizontal play. Do yourself a favor and go around the entire stock with sandpaper / xacto knife / scotchbrite pad to knock the plastic mold lines that are inherent in an injection molded product. Hardware was ok for the pistol grip and the top plate, but i opted to replace the bolts that secure the buttstock because they were a tad short, so a trip to home depot and $1.86 later, i have some nice stainless screws in there. Rear sling mount is plastic (AR-15 is metal). The front 12 o'clock rail is actually the exact same height as a 10/22 scope rail attached to the reciever. I am testing a 3-9x tasco scope, that has flip-up lense covers on it. Using the tallest burris scope rings, my flip-ups would hang on the 12'oclock front rail. So i found a pair of see-thru scope rings and that raised her up another 1/4". no more hang, and the eye relief is still a resonable height from the cheek piece. Minor (acceptable) play in telestock piece, no play anywere else. I put the "front sling mount" on the rear points (near the pistol grip) so as to attach a single point sling. Mags fit well. STOCK IS COMFORTABLE!! good ergonomics, no rough edges, etc. Plastic feels like a good quality, feels durable. I still have flush mag release, so i ordered an extended one (newer 10/22 come stock with extended release!?) Iron sights are visible (barely) thru 12 o'clock front rail, but to use them you must have the angled stock piece installed (the one showed in the pic). Highly recommended, you wont be disappointed.

BARSKA RUGER 10-22 Muzzle Brake Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this muzzle break strictly for looks on my new 10/22. When installed it looked great, but there were a couple problems.First, its only held on by a tiny screw, after about 30 shots the screw gets loose, and it isn't sturdy enough to tighten on a regular basis.It gets stripped easily.Secondly, I have a Bushnell scope on my Ruger.When I was trying to sight it in at 100 yds groups were about 12 in.I decided to take the muzzle break off and try it, and I was getting 2 in. groups.So basically, if your going to use it for looks, not fire a whole lot, and keep your shooting to 50 yds or less then get it.If not, save your money.
