(More customer reviews)it hooks right to the front adjustable sight, slide the range indicator forward, hook to sight platform, slide range indicator back until snugly fit. then you have to slightly bend the deflector as required to fit just under the scope(it's just standard sheet metal so its really easy). Now it kind of gives my sks a look like it has a hinged belt fed action. spray paint it black to match your barrel if you want or leave it gray, either way it does the trick.

(More customer reviews)My Chinese SKS did not have the grenade launcher or the muzzle break, so it would jump up badly after each firing. This break does the job just fine, I can now put all rounds in a spot about a quarter diameter without re-aiming.

SKS Short Muzzle Brake/Pin-On Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this muzzle brake for two reasons; to reduce recoil and because it looks cool.It arrived in a thin plastic bag.The bag was already coated with a thin film of rust, as was the part.I had difficulty attaching it.Some of this is because my hand-me-down SKS does not have a perfect muzzle.Some of it is because the part is just slightly too small when it hits the widened barrel under the front sight post.

I still like the way it looks.

I think it will reduce bounce.

I'm deathly afraid it will cause horrendous rusting on an otherwise rust-free weapon, and I'm not sure I can remove it, pin or no pin.

Edit: I took a Dremel to my rifle and removed the metal burrs on the barrel, and used a hammer to tap this product on.It then seated properly in place.It still leaves rust on anything I touch it with.

(More customer reviews)I have an older version of this on my other SKS and i wanted one for annother one i bought it looks great but it is going to take some fitting as the barrel on my newer SKS has a bigger OD but it will work fine i would recomend this to any one as it is a crap shoot as to weather it will fit on a com bloc weapon but i would say that it will fit more than it won't i hope this helps

SKS Long Muzzle Brake/Pin-On Review

(More customer reviews)I get one AMSKSL for my Russian SKS, but I am really disappointed.Fitting size on the rifle for this muzzle is 14 mm. Fitting size of the hole on the actual muzzle brake is 14.7mm. It sits loose and is moving up and down.
I contacted NcStar about this issue. They had checked current stock and all the brakes there are the same size. I also have short muzzle brake for SKS from NcStar AMSKS. It sized 14.2 mm andsits perfectly onmy SKS.
I asked NcStar how they happened to have different sizes for the same rifle - they have no answer for that, but promised to investigate this issue and replace mine. But it will take them at least 2 months to do it, because the shop is in China.
I hear who ever use it on Chinese SKS is happy - it is possible that there is a different fitting size on the barrel. I don't know, but it's not for a Russian SKS. I had tried on another rifle that a friend of mine has -and it is the same problem

(More customer reviews)First of all, I was hesitant on buying this product because of the super low price and free shipping (I worried it would be of poor quality), also due to the lack of reviews and the variation in ratings I was not sure what to think.So, I finally decided to buy this product since I figured it was so inexpensive that even if it did not work, at least it would look pretty cool.However, I am completely blown away by this product.

Shipping was super fast, and installation only took 60 seconds or less.It came with everything to install it (allen wrench) and fit perfectly onto my M44 Mosin Nagant without having to alter or modify the muzzle brake in any way.

Just shot my M44 today and I was surprised at how well this reduced the recoil.My girlfriend shot my rifle before installing the muzzle brake and only shot a few rounds.Today, she and some other friends loved shooting it because it did not hurt one bit.

Highly recommend buying this product.A rifle that I rarely shot has now become a favorite!!!
