(More customer reviews)I have been using night vision rifle scopes for years, and the Mars4x unit far exceeds the performance of any scope I have ever used.The clarity and accuracy of this scope exceeded all of my expectations.I have this unit sitting on top of a DPMS LR308, and I am able to put 5 shots inside of a nickel size circle at 100 yards on a dark night without using the illuminator.This is such a powerful scope that the illuminator washes out the screen image for anything under 100 yards.The illuminator becomes an effective tool for shots from 100 yards to 250 yards.The scope is a little heavy, but still managable.If you use a flashhider on your rifle muzzle, the scope will remain turned on for follow up shots. If you do not use a flashhider, the internal brightness protecter will turn the scope off because of the brightness of the muzzle flash.The weight of the scope helps to reduce recoil, so the combination of the flashhider and scope weight work together for quick targeting recovery and follow up shots.This scope is top of the line and performs flawlessly.If your livelihood, or your life, depends on the performance of your night vision equipment, then this is a scope you may depend on.It is pricey, but there is a reason for the price.You get what you pay for in performance, clarity, dependability and accuracy.
