(More customer reviews)First of all, don't expect this thing to keep a zero. Its the dust cover and is not even firmly mounted to the receiver. There are NO/NONE/NADA AK receiver cover products that will keep a zero on a scope. You want a screw or rivet mounted side plate scope mount for that. There are receiver mounted ones that go over the dust cover (mounted to the rear sight at the receiver). These are slightly better at keeping zero, but not as good as the side plates.
Don't be fooled by the little fine adjustment screws, they will lose scope zero once you take the cover off, or most likely with each shot. Remember when you disassembled your AK the last time and removed the original cover? There were no pins or screws involved... the cover was not meant for scope mounting.
What this is good for is mounting a light, or maybe a rail mounted sling swivel for an AK pistol.
If you are just plinking at the local indoor range (less than 50 feet) it would be fine for your non-magnified tactical scope or red-dot.
Second, the standard AK dust cover is a low tolerance part, meaning that on most AK's except for some milled AK receivers, the mount points and mate points can have a large variation. That is because the cover is just meant as a dust cover to keep dust and body parts out of the operating area of the receiver. That being said, you may need to dremel or tweak it slightly.
So, know what this is and know what it is capable of. It is fine for a quick tool-less drop in, with no drilling or tapping involved, just dont expect it to keep a zero over 50 feet.
