(More customer reviews)I have both the SS550 and the GH500. Both are very similar in build, feel and performance.
The scope needs a dial in, takes about 20 minutes or so but once it is set it is set. I have had mine set about 5 months ago and still accurate as ever.
Both rifles are very quiet, like spitting a cherry-pit ;)but on the heavy side. This makes them hard to use for my son.
Also, the break-barrel requires grown up muscle.
So for the adults looking for an accurate beginner air rifle: this is a pleasure. I have since moved into more expensiveequipmentbut these come out whenever we have a backyard BBQ with a shooting competition.
Great value and good equipment. Beeman = quality.
Oh yeah: it's composite, not wood.
