This is the second Leupold scope for our family along with my VX-L. I love the clarity of their optics and the quality of their construction. I recommend the Alumina scope covers (also reviewed by me) as a must for these scopes.

Product Description:
The VX-II is one of Leupold's most popular lines of riflescopes, and the reasons are clear to anyone's who's ever tried one out. The VX-II is packed full of useful features, including precise 1/4-minute click adjustments for windage and elevation, a Multicoat 4 lens system that provides exceptional brightness and clarity, a lockable, fast-focus eyepiece, and a tactile power indicator. As a result, the VX-II is built to meet the demands of today's serious hunters and shooters.

The VX-II is available with several reticle types. This particular version of the VX-II boasts a 50mm objective lens and a magnification range of 4x to 12x, making it easy to bring your subject into view. The scope's fast-focus eyepiece, meanwhile, securely locks your eyepiece in place once you've set your reticle focus, making it a breeze to stay on target. And hunters will love the aforementioned tactile power indicator, which makes it easy to tell your scope's magnification with just a touch, and without ever taking your eye from the eyepiece.
The VX-II is available in your choice of reticles. The Duplex reticle is the default option for this model; however, the scope is also available with LR Duplex and Heavy Duplex reticles. Finally, the scope comes with a durable Leupold scope cover to protect your VX-II during transport or when not in use. Rugged and absolutely waterproof in all conditions, the matte black scope is covered by Leupold's full lifetime guarantee.

About Leupold
From humble immigrant beginnings, Leupold grew--based on a promise of quality--to become a classic American company. In 1907, Fred Leupold set up a one-man shop at 5th and Oak streets in Portland to repair surveying equipment. He was joined by his brother-in-law, Adam Voelpel, and later by inventor John Cyprian Stevens, and the foundations for a century of success were in place.
During Leupold's second half-century, the company focused heavily on the sports optics business. Leupold's presence in the hunting and shooting market expanded with innovative optics and features that are now legendary among hunters, shooters, and outdoors enthusiasts. Many of the industry's standards--nitrogen waterproofing, the Duplex reticle, and more--were Leupold creations.
