(More customer reviews)I received this as a Christmas gift, and have had a chance to use it on 2 range trips so far. My thought is that it is a jack of all trades, master of none deal. Bikini scope covers drive me bonkers, as they tend to get misplaced once off of the glass. Also, the hood for the reflex sight is easily lost once it loosens up a bit with a few removals. It would have been great to have a flip up system for the main scope, and amazingly good to have a flip up for the reflex. It would have helped with the sun fadeout issue noted later. At a minimum, some sort of lanyard for the reflex sight cover would be a good idea.

The 3-9 scope is quite sufficient considering the expected maximum effective range of 5.56mm at 300M. If the target is further than that, you are just hoping for a lucky hit on the 12" gong in my experience. The optics are sharp, and the illumination is bright and available in red or green. The zoom function knob is VERY tight on mine, and was made even more difficult due to the afterthought design of the reflex mount that sits right in front of it.I have better quality scopes on other rifles, but the compact size on this is a great bonus.

The reflex sight is pretty subpar. It would have been nice to have a larger hood on it, as it tends to fade quick in bright sunlight to the point of non visibility. I expected this to be the case, so it was not a shocking event. A flip up cover system would have prevented the cover from being lost as well as provide extra shade and usability. Also, due to the nature of the red dot mount, it makes accessing the zoom dial on the 3-9X very difficult. It was not properly thought out before being implemented into the design. Instead of a simple ring that gets held on by screws, a mount specifically engineered on the tube would have been superior. I have had a lot of problems with it drifting around the scope body after rapid fire use, regardless of lock-tite on the threads. There are also no built in stops on the windage/elevation adjustment screws, so it is easily possible to actually remove the ability to adjust point of impact when the adjustment screw falls out somewhere on the range.

***IMPORTANT***
This system will NOT work on an A-1/A-2 carry handle with weaver rail attached, as the reflex sight will be too high, and will not depress far enough to hit line of sight. The 3-9X tube works wonderfully onmy flat top receiver, though.
