Very inexpensive for a high powered scope. I now have two, one mounted on a Springfield 03A3 in 30-06 and the other on a Remington Varminter heavy barrel in 308 Winchester chambering. This scope is very similar, indistinguishable in some cases, to several different brands available at such low prices these days. A Leupold of the same power would cost over $1000. Even though the image at 32 power shows some lack of sharpness when compared to the Leupold, it is an excellent buy. It is adequate for wood chucks out to 250 yards and mule deer out to 400+ yards. This relatively heavy scope, due to its necessary size, tends to slip, under recoil, in the rings supplied with it. The anti-slip pads intended to be installed between the rings and the barrel of the scope actually seem to lubricate movement. After 50 shots at the range the scope had slid 3/8" in the rings. The ring clamping screws could not be torqued enough to stop the slide. I reinstalled the scope using Blue LocTite Gel between the scope and the inside of the rings...no problems after that.

The adjustments are quick and easy, but they tend not to return to exactly the same point of aim when adjusted back and forth for different distances. There is also some slight indication that it takes the recoil from one or two shots before each new adjustment settles in solidly. Once the scope settings do settle in there is no change from shot to shot. If you make a windage or elevation adjustment, it again takes one to two sometimes three shots for the scope to settle to that new setting. At the 8 power setting these minor complaints are undetectable. Would I buy another? Yes! Could it be better, not for less than an additional $900, but the Leupold, while better, is over priced in my estimation. Unless it is a life and death situation (sniper in Afghanistan?) this is an adequate scope.
